I was a neighbor of Sal's when we were kids in Paterson. My cousin Pat (Trigger) remained Sal's friend throughout his life. I remember Sal as a little boy with a big wide smile. He was funny. I remember his sisters Phyllis and Rosemarie. We moved away from Paterson in 1962. The next time I saw Sal was at my Aunt Mary's wake, Pat's mom. I didn't get a chance to speak with him, but I can say he impressed me. He and his wife made such a handsome/lovely couple. You could see how happy and in love they both were. The next time I heard about Sal, my heart sank and I couldn't help crying about the fact that such an obviously genuinely good person had been taken from those he loved and loved him. My cousin felt the loss terribly and I know misses Sal to this minute. My condolences to all he touched. Sincerely, Michele Gulino

Sal - It's 6 years today and nothing is the same w/out you. Your easy way is sorely missed in a world that needs more people like you. Rest in peace, but know that your spirit is still carried by the rest of us.

She did it...TT is now a graduate of NYU (with honors). When she walked across the stage at Radio City I have never been more proud. Everything she's worked so hard for has finally come true. She's living and working in NYC. O.K. I'm not crazy about that, but she couldn't be happier. To say you would be proud of her would be an understatement...and that's not all...JJ graduated HS in June and will be attending Boston College this fall. I wish you could have seen his face when his acceptance letter arrived..what a wonderful Christmas present. You might be jealous, he's taller than you...almost 6 ft. You're with them Sal, each and every moment of the day- they could never have achieved what they have without you. You were taken away from us too soon, but you instilled in each of them your courage, strength and determination. JJ is you in every way...especially your goofy laugh, he is his fathers son. There are moments when he laughs that take my breath away. We miss you each and every day-not a day goes by when we don't talk about Daddy. Thank you Sal for what you gave to me when we were together and for what you left me. IWLUF. RR

It's almost 5 years since I have heard your laugh, felt you touch or giggled at your goofy laugh...but I only have to close my eyes and it all comes back....I see your smile 100 times a day--it's what helps me through my darkest timesI. You would be so proud of TT and JJ...They teach me the true meaning of the word courgage each and everyday. Like you always said 'you done good.' We talk about you all the time, there are always lots of tears but also lots of smiles. See ya later babe Missing you with all my heart, RR

More than a moment of silence, on this day and everyday may we use our lives to honor and respectfully remember you. With careful consideration we continue on where you could have gone, good left undone, countless gifts not given. We will not fail; we will not forget you, our precious family, our dear friend, our inspiration. Patricia & Charles Barraza

With a terrible sadness we mark this day, the third anniversary of the morning we lost each of you. In the end it is only a marker. The grief, sorrow and the incredible possibilities that we lost in those horrific moments remain with us every day. We weep, no, sob from a place deep, deep inside that has been left empty by your absence. And we pray, for you, your families, your friends, and your colleagues. And for ourselves may God give us the strength to go forward and honor you with our lives. We will never forget you. Patricia Barraza

Remembering - I wanted to write to say we remember you and think of you as we go on. We miss your being, but feel your presence. ..... you would be so proud of them. TT did it, she's starting NYU in the fall...she'll never be able to meet you for lunch like you planned, but I know you will be with her everyday.My heart breaks to know you are not here to see what loving and caring 'adults' they have become. Like you always said 'you done good.' See Ya Later Babe RRTTJJ&S2;

While I never worked on an account with Sal, it was like I had known him for years. I met him when I would visit the claim department on the 40th floor - Gary, Jim, Keith and Sal. Once I met him, he was always glad to see me. I remember his smile and his enthusiasm. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Do not stand at my grave and weep; I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain. I am the fields of ripening grain. I am the morning hush. I am the graceful rush of beautiful birds in circling flight. I am the star shine of the night. I am the flowers that bloom. I am in a quiet room. I am the birds that sing. I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there.I did not die.' ...Mary Frye, Baltimore MD, Circa 1933 Alive in our hearts forever...
