I did not know Robert, but to his family and friends, I would like to extend my most heartfelt condolences to you. I hope that in the 21 years since the 9/11 tragedy you have found peace and have moved forward with your lives, sustained by your memories and the love of millions of people unknown to you, but by your side in spirit.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob through 4 years of high school at Cardinal Hayes and later at Fordham. Bob epitomized the Hayes tenet that a Hayesman is a Gentlemen, an enduring trait that he will be remembered for.

I worked with Bob at Mutual of America, he was a great friend, we always talked sports. Every day that goes by when my thoughts remember 9/11 I think of him and his laughter God Bless You Robert

I worked with Bob, but more importantly he was a friend of mine first and foremost. I was involved in a number of sport fantasy leagues which was one of his passions. But what I learned from his involvement from those leagues is his passion for his family and children. He would name teams after his kids. I was sitting next to a colleague in my midtown office that happen to be on the phone with Bob at the time that the plane hit his tower. As the phone line of my colleague went dead, we instantly knew that there was something be concerned about and hoped that you would be able to exit. I and all our colleagues in those fanstasy leagues still miss you.

I wanted to send my prayers and love to all of you for your loss. Robert was my cousin. I have thought about all of you often. I have a wonderful memory of Robert that I wanted to share. I will never forget going to Robert's house (late 60's) and he had just bought the first Michael Jackson album. He loved it!!! Whenever I hear those songs I think of your dad and very happy times!!! It brings a tear to my eyes and a smile to my face. I just wanted to share that memory. Love to all of you. God bless Robert and all of his family. Love JoAnne

Not a day goes by where I don't miss you dad... I know I've messed up my life a lot since you've been gone...but I'll make it better...I promise...I'm doing my best to turn it all around... God I miss you...

I worked with Bob for several years at Mutual of America and sat with him on the train on the way to work for a long time. He was a truly great man, and I really miss him. I pray for his family. Robert Kunkel
