Dear Valerie, I still remember our days in high school in Holland Patent, NY, when you sat in the desk in front of me in trig class and what you wrote in my yearbook wishing that one day we could both have an “M.D.” at the end our names. Who would have guessed where our journeys would take us in this life? Reading the tributes, I wish we had kept in touch all those years since 1962. Fondly remember working evening shifts with you at the Joi de Vivre restaurant back when you were studying computer science by day. Greatly admire all of your accomplishments Valerie and your beautiful daughter and granddaughter.

While I did not know Valerie, today she and all our lost colleagues are in my heart and mind. We are thinking of you and your family. It seems like it was just yesterday but instead 19 years.

Valerie was probably the first mentor that I had. We always had the best conversations. Not just about work but about life. She loved her daughter and adored her grand daughter.

I will never forget the friendship that we had when she worked at Willis Corroon. I remember going to NYC and hiking the City with her and Glen. Valerie was an avid and very fast reader. When she came to Nashville, she usually would have 20 books and would get them read in days. I will never forget Valerie and I'm proud to have know her. May her family and friends never forget her love and kindness.

Valerie's red hair and fiery spirit live in my memory.

I worked in Nashville at Corroon and Black. It was always like a whirlwind when Valerie and Jerry Cusack would fly in from New York! We being from the south had such a slow pace and they ran 90 miles a minute! Valerie always kept Jerry grounded because he was off the hook!!! She introduced us to PC's when we were geared for the big mainframes! I laugh now thinking then it was just a fad. Valerie was a pioneer at C&B.; She will be missed by all those she came in contact with! Love to her family.

While working with Valerie many years ago at a French restaurant, the Joi de Vivre, I quickly learned that she was only moonlighting there, as she was already immersed in what would later be called Information Technology. She was obviously multi-talented and great-hearted. I extend my sympathy to her family and friends.

I had the pleasure to work with Valerie during her years with Corroon & Black and remember her as unflappable and warm hearted. I pass along my deepest sympathies to her family on this day of remembance.

I did not know Valerie, but I wish I had. Today I read about her, her husband and the farm on which they lived together here in Upstate New York--a short drive from the NERA office in Ithaca, where I work. Valerie was an unflappable leader in Marsh's IT space, working with Bob Cooper, Mannie Pang and Winston Lawrence and a band of interlopers from MMC. We pummeled her with strange questions and awkward requests, but Valerie rose to the challenge every time. I enjoyed working with Valerie, and I would like to send my deepest condolences to her family and friends. She is very much missed!
