Tributes
Nezam, as the 20 year anniversary of your passing approaches, once again, I want you to know I think of you often. As I've mentioned in the past, your impact on my life is so important to me. The best tribute a man can receive, especially one so young, is to know that others look up to him, even 20 years after he's left us. Thank you Nezam.

Nezam, you unknowingly provided me with one of the biggest lessons of my life. For most of 2001, we made tentative arrangements to meet and discuss one of our shared reinsurer accounts. I worked in the south tower, and you worked in the north tower of the WTC. Each time our meeting dates came up , I needed to cancel for one reason or another. You were so patient and understanding, never complaining about the cancellation, and always kindly rescheduling. To this day, nearly 20 years after your passing, I feel so guilty, heartbroken, and embarrassed when I think about how uncaring those cancellations we're on my part. I think of you from time to time, but yesterday I began to feel it was way past time for me to apologize, and tell you how much I truly respect you. Thanks for the lesson Nezam.

As the years pass us we reflect on those we have lost over the years. Nezam is one such person taken from us at young age. I admire his attitude and patience in the manner in which he treated others and hope those who knew him will honor his memory and celebrate his life. ~Winston Skerrett

Nezam was a wonderfu and kind person with a gentle spirit who always had a smile on his face. He was always happy when on the Cricket field and loved the game with all his heart. Off the Cricket field he was a diplomat of the game who represented the game and his culture. On the 10th anniversary of 911 we remember Nezam and celebrate the life he lived. May God Bless Your Soul Nezam.

Remembering you today Nezam. Nezam was a good friend on mine. We actually took the train to work together that morning. He slept and we hail up each other and went our separate ways. RIP Nezam.

Nezam and I had worked together at SwissRe and was pleasantly surprised to see him when he joined Guy Carpenter. (I'd been at G.C. for about a year then) We kept saying we'd have to get to lunch and catch up... we never did, and it bothers me to this day. Nezam, you sure were one heck of a guy. You're missed and thought of every year dude. RIP

Today you are being buried my dearest friend and I thought I had shed my last tear last night at your beautiful memorial service. I was wrong. Today you are remembered with love, sorrow, fond memories and most of all regret that I did not keep our scheduled meeting on September 10th 2001... I miss you so much! I vow to keep your memory alive and will never forget our wonderful friendship. Although you are not here physically, I know your spirit is among us and I like to think wherever you are, you are smiling that wonderful smile that we all loved! God bless you Nezam

We never met, but spoke on the phone so many times. I regret that I didn't make the time to meet with you. Our business dealings aside, I always had the impression you were a really nice, hard working guy. When I've discussed you with people who were lucky enough to meet you, they've let me know I wasn't wrong. God Bless!
