I know that Catherine is in Heaven. Catherine was my Manager when I worked at Guy Carpenter. She was also my friend. We always got to church when Catherine was there. On a Holy Day of Obligation, Catherine would insist that there was no other option. I will always think of Catherine and know she is in Heaven.

I worked with Catherine in the trade centers in 1989 at Guy Carpenter. The three people who made me laugh the most were Catherine, Vince and Colin. Catherine was kind, enthusiastic and patient. God bless her family.

Catherine, so many years have passed- still so many memories working together. Maybe you are hanging with Dan Lindstrom these days in heaven.
John nasisi, Colleague
Catherine started coming to me for hair-styling in the 1980s. She was always upbeat, energetic, and positive. She was kind and loyal, always to offer help if she was able. Catherine was a lovely lady.

I worked with Catherine as an ATT support engineer for Marsh, very kind person and you knew were you stood, fair and consistent and she expected that back. Can't believe its been 19 years

Catherine you are missed! I remember the times that we would help each other on various projects. You are a great person and we miss you! Those memories just don't fade.

Thinking of Catherine on this anniversary. She was my manager at Guy Carpenter. I'll never forget her enthusiasm and friendliness. In 1987, she drove a computer table she didn't need to my new apartment on a Saturday because I didn't have a desk. I still have it -- it belongs to my teenage son now.
Elizabeth B. Morse, Colleague
I remember Catherine throughout the year but especially on 9-11 because she truly loved her job and loved the WTC. I know that God is taking care of her and has a special place for her that will last forever.

Thinking of you, your wonderful laughter, your inspiration, and the special moments we shared long ago.

I never met Catherine Fagan, but I am lucky enough to know her family. I am Sarah's sister-in-law. I know from all the stories how wonderful Catherine was in providing for her family and being a great support for them. I am so lucky to have Sarah as part of our family. I just wish her children could have met their grandma. I know that her stories will live on in their lives.

My mother loved her job and I miss her everyday. My heart aches for she will never know the two beautiful boys I brought into this world. My boys will never get to know the fun loving person that she was. Thank you all for all of your prayers and memories.

Those too young, or otherwise directly disaffected, will never quite know the true significance of the events of May 1, 2011. Cathy Fagan was one of the most pleasant, humourous, and kind people I have ever known. She, and many like her, were taken from us that day. Let us hope that these recent events confer some measure of justice

Catherine, I hope you are at peace with everything that went on that day 9 years ago. I know that I still after all these years still have not. As you know I get up very early and turn on the news. That day I was suppose to be in NY to get together with you to go over our work. When we talked on prior Thursday before 9/11, you told me that your back was really hurting and that you probably wasn't going to be in for 2 to 3 days the next week. Therefore, together we decided that I would cancel my reservations for that week and reschedule for the week after. I would say that decision probably saved my life as I would have been staying at the Mariott at the World Trade and been leaving my room to walk over to catch the elevator to our floor. When I seen the first picture's of the WT I knew right away that we were in trouble as I told my Daugher (Alissa) that the Plan went into our floor. I miss our long conversations and dinners we had while working together the previous number of years after you left GC and came to work for us at what is now known as MGTI. Everytime I see a picture of the WT or something in NYC it remains me of you and think of you always. Also, John Nasisi and I will be talking about something and all of a sudden we remember you. You can be assured that you will always be in our minds and hearts. Just to let you know that the Grandkid's you and i talked about all the time are doing well and growing everyday. Alissa also remembers you on these days and thinks of you also. Talk to you next year on the 10 year anniversary of this terrible deed and please rember that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Dan

Thinking about you today, Catherine. It just doesn't feel fair that you're not with us now. I feel anger and resentment toward those responsible for taking you from us, someone who touched my life in such a positive way. But then I think to myself about what it is you might say to me... and I realize that whatever it is, it would be positive... bright... optimistic. What can I do except thank the Lord for blessing me by having you touch my life. Try to rest in peace.

Catherine remains in my heart always. She was a strong woman with a great sense of humor and a wonderful amount of faith. When we worked together at Guy Carpenter, she would make sure that we got to church on our lunch hour on holy days of obligation. I know that Catherine' spirit is still alive and she is providing love and guidance to everyone who was touched by her.

It's been eight long years since that terrible day in 2001, and I often dwell on the thought that Catherine and I had arranged to have lunch on 9/11/2001. She had stayed home from work the previous day because of a nagging back pain, and I remember talking with her on 9/10, and she said she wanted to head into the office a little early the next day to 'get a jump on the backlog.' My blood ran cold the next morning when I was on the bus in from Hoboken and heard what had happened. When I got to the office, I called Sarah, and as soon as she answered the phone, the first thing I said was, 'Tell me your mom didn't go in today.' But alas... Fate has a strange way of working, though. Since 2001, I've sold my Hoboken place and moved to Central Jersey. But just this past weekend, the buyer of my condo in Hoboken delivered to me a Christmas card from Sarah. I look forward to re-establishing our contact. As I was scrolling Fox News this morning at about 11am, too, there was Rose, onstage at the memorial, commemorating Catherine, too. Sometimes, one can't help feeling the divine providence in these events. I'm also currently working at 1166, the home base of Marsh McLennan --- and the location many of us Carpenter ants were moved to in the aftermath of the 1993 events at the World Trade Center. Even though I'm not with GuyCarp or Marsh, I still go to the memorial plaza behind 1166. My thoughts often return to the 22 people I knew who died that day --- but Catherine holds a special place among them. Peace be with you all.

I remember Catherine well and often. I don't know why but sometimes when I'm surfing the net, I find that she pops into my head. Then, I'll Google her name and find myself here, reading about her. Today, it was time to say something. All the kind and wonderful things that people have to say about her. I think it is a beautiful thing that she has touched so many lives in a positive way. One can only wish to impact so many people in the way that she has. I was just a start-up computer technician when I first met her at Guy Carpenter. I'd become friendly with Colin and Vince too, but my relationship with Catherine was different. How hard I would try to be polished and professional even though I was just learnning the ropes. Looking back, I see now that I never fooled Catherine, but she allowed me to play the role telling me that 'experience is the best teacher'. Its funny... that was 20 years ago and I still think about it. I guess I'm just one person on a long list of people that Catherine has impacted ina positive way. May the Lord have mercy on your soul and may you rest in peace Cathrine.

Catherine was such an inspiration to me. When I joined Guy Carpenter in October 1986 Catherine was in charge of helping employees with the various programs that were used in the firm. I had difficulty with an application and she took me under her wing and literally held my hand and instructed me where I was making my errors. I will always remember her for that along with her compassion for others. She's an employee I will never forget.

It has been a long 6 years. It is nice to read every ones thoughts and to know that my mother was well like. It makes me sad that she missed out on so much of my life. My finally getting a degree, my wedding and the birth of my 2 sons. Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

It has taken me two years to get up the courage to write something, and sadly the thought of saying these things hurt as if it was yesterday. Catherine was the woman responsible for bringing me to Marsh and McClennan. She hired me as an intern, and taught me everything she knew about the job we did. I loved her like a second mother and seeked her approval in my life decisions. I also feared her like a mother, never wanting to disappoint her in any way. After I graduated with my undergraduate degree in 1998, she made it very clear not only to me, but to others, that she wanted me to start grad school. She saw my potential and wanted me to do everything in power to make her dream for me come true. So on September 10, 2001 I was happy to go to her and tell her 'see you tomorrow, I'm off to my first class.' She wished me all the best, and I ran off to school. If only I knew that that would be the last time I saw or spoke to her. It is now two years later, and I am happy to report to her that I am Grad School graduate. I've heard her voice in my head numerous times over the past 2 years, especially when things got rough. I thank her for everything she has instilled in me. I now understand the path she saw me on, and will try to complete that path. I thank her for giving me the opportunity to realize my own potential, and for always believing that I could accomplish whatever I set my mind to. I've wanted many times to reach out to her family, just to say hello, and hope that someone will read this and know that Catherine is never forgotten by her colleagues. I miss the stories she would to tell me about her granddaughter, and her dog. I miss her laugh. I miss the Eden Soy Milk she drank that I hated. I even miss the tone of her voice when she was upset. I miss her genuine concern for my mom's back pain, because she had dealt with the same pains. I miss her weakness for canoli. It's the simple things I miss the most. She is constantly spoken and thought of. She has left a lasting impression on my life, and she will always be remembered and loved.

Although I retired from Guy Carpenter over 9 years ago, I have many fond memories of co-workers and friends. When I learned that Catherine was taken on 9/11, I was deeply distressed. I worked with Catherine when she started in the Life & Health Department and found her so appreciative of help given during the learning process. She moved on to computers and manned the help desk - I used to say 'F1,F1' when she answered my call. Catherine always had a smile for me, and I admired her many interests and her independent lifestyle. To Karen and family I express my deepest sympathy on your loss.

Today I heard your name called out. I didn't know!!! It wasn't personal until that moment. I knew you long ago but your heart and inspiration helped me achieve so much. I will always treasure your gift of love and carry it with me. Karen if you read this I want you to know how special your mother was for me.

I worked with Catherine at Guy Carpenter and always think of her as one of the best people I ever worked with. When I think of Catherine, the song 'Forever Young' comes into my head: May God bless and keep you always, May your wishes all come true, May you always do for others And let others do for you. May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung, May you stay forever young, Forever young, forever young, May you stay forever young. May you grow up to be righteous, May you grow up to be true, May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you. May you always be courageous, Stand upright and be strong, May you stay forever young, Forever young, forever young, May you stay forever young. May your hands always be busy, May your feet always be swift, May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift. May your heart always be joyful, May your song always be sung, May you stay forever young, Forever young, forever young, May you stay forever young.

Catherine, I think of you often and remember the days when you, Vince, Colin, and Randy worked together and we'd go to my brother-in-laws pizzaria and spend time together. I admired your independent nature and sense of fun. I remember you dancing at my wedding and cannot listen to the song Old Time Rock and Roll without picturing you ripping up the dance floor. It gives me a little peace knowing on that awful day you were all taken from us that Vinny had an old friend with him. I wish peace to your entire family. Barbara Gallucci
