Carole, just know you will always be remembered for the hard work and training you showed to me. Thanks

Carole was a dedicated, hard working employee who I met the first day I stareted with the Company. She expressed concerns about working so high up in the WTC. Sadly, her fears came true. I only hope she didn't realize what was happening on that terrible day. May she rest in peace.

I don't know how often anyone looks at this page but I was in New York recently and I bought a bracelet from the memorial site that has the name of someone who died in the World Trade Centre and the one I bought has Carole's name on it. I'll wear it until it breaks off, or falls off. I didn't know Carole but I'm proud to wear her name on my wrist.

Although I am a former Marsh employee, it is difficult to comprehend how many great people were lost in this tragedy. Carol was one of the people within Marsh who demonstrated that the strength of the organization was it's people. Her dedication, friendly attitude and willingness to help will be missed. A truly great woman.

I spoke with Carol only once or twice on business relating to T&E; reporting. Each time she was pleasant and so very happy to be helpful. I was saddened to learn that Carol was one of the many Marsh employees who were lost last year. It's taken me awhile to compose my thoughts and this doesn't express them well. I just want Carol's family and friends to know she is remembered and that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Regina Motreuil, MMC Enterprise Risk 9/17/02

A year has passed and we still miss Carole Eggert as if the events of September 11th, 2001 had happened just yesterday. She was a good friend who was well loved by our family and all of her friends and co-workers. We will always miss her lighthearted phrases like 'So how ya doin'?' or 'Oh, get outta here!' in her classic New Yorker accent. Carole was always there for you if you needed her help. She was devoted to her parents, taking good care of her elderly mother, Gertrude, and her father, Herman, while he was ill until he passed away in 1998. She was very dedicated, a hard worker who was well respected by her peers at Marsh & McClennan Companies, where she worked for over 40 years. She went to college late in her life to get her Bachelor's Degree and worked her way up to become a VP Manager in the Accounting Department of Marsh & McClennan on the 98th floor of 1 World Trade Center. Carol was there with her co-workers when they all perished on the morning of September 11th, 2001. We will keep her in our hearts and never forget her. The Aanonsen Family

WORDS WILL NEVER EXPRESS THE LOSS THAT THIS TRAGIC EVENT HAS CAUSED THE MANY PEOPLE INVOLVED. I CAN ONLY TELL HOW WE, AS A FAMILY, WILL MISS HER. WHEN I RETIRED FROM THE PORT AUTHORITY POLICE IN '76 AND LOCATED IN ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, IT WASN'T TOO LONG THAT CAROL AND A FEW OF HER FRIENDS VISITED US. WE WERE ALSO VERY LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN VISITING ON STATEN ISLAND ABOUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE DISASTER AND WERE ABLE TO VISIT WITH CAROL AND HER MOM, MY AUNT, GERTIE, AND WILL FOREVER BE THANKFUL FOR THAT TIME.

Carol -- What can you say. One who never shirked her responsibility. One who always listened; One who had an answer for your questions. One was dedicated to her job. Carol -- a true lady.

I met Carole over 30 years ago when I worked in Acctg. She was Ron Smith's secretary at the time and his right arm. I remember her going to school to get her degree and admired her dedication and drive. She was always pleasant and helpful especially when we former accounting people needed her assistance.

Carole Eggert was the first Marsh person I met when Marsh bought the Bristol, Connecticut agency I worked for in 1975. I was amazed at how hard she worked, how dedicated she was, and how much she knew. Over her many years at Marsh, Carole never wavered in her hard work and dedication and her knowledge base. Though all of her professionalism, Carole was a true friend, always considerate and kind. Lovely lady Carole Eggert was the epitome of the colleague we admired and respected and of the kind of friend we wished we could be.
