Lucy,
I can't believe 7 years have gone by already. It seems like yesterday you were helping me arrange trips. You are remembered fondly. My prayers are with you and your family.

Lucy, me and my sister always remember you at Jolly Travel. Growing up in Ridgewood my parents would often come to "Biancavilla" to get their taxes done and make travel plans to Italy. I remember as a kid always admiring you. Behind a big desk and being such a professional. My heart sank on 9/11 for all who were lost, when I saw your picture on TV it really just brought it home. You are in my thoughts and prayers. 9/11/2008

Five years ago you were taken from your family and friends in such a terrible way. You are so much loved and missed by everyone. And why not?
You had a warm, loving heart and a big smile for everyone.

I spoke to Lucy just minutes before 8:46 am that morning, but didn't realize that she worked in the WTC, until Saturday evening on CNN I saw a young woman holding a picture of her. I think of her often and hope her family has found peace.
Sue Johnson, Colleague
It's almost 5 years that we lost you but I still have that void in my heart. I know it will be there forever cuz there's no other best friend to replace you in my heart. I still miss you and see you in some of my dreams and that makes me smile looking at your picture when I wake up in the morning . You are now in a better place with your Dad and Mom. I miss you... a lot...

I remember growing up and and always seeing Lucy when she worked for my father at Jolly Travel Service. He always spoke so highly of Lucy. When he passed away in 1981 I lost track of Lucy. It was months before I became aware that Lucy was lost on 9/11. As saddened as I was by that news, I know that she went to a better place where he was waiting with an Espresso.

I never knew you Lucy, but when I visited the ground zero site from the UK I saw your picture among the memorials. I took a few journalistic photographs of the memorials and tried in my own way to find some kind of peace in the faces of the lost. I went to New York to show my sorrow, to carry the smallest bit of support across the Ocean that divides our countries. I found you Lucy Crifasi, and although I never knew you, never met you, and weren't likely to ever have, I found you among the faces and names I went to pay my respects to. I am sorry you were taken from us in such a terrible way Lucy. [To the person who moderates this: I tried to include a link to the picture I took, however this page doesn't appear to allow links]
