I didn't know Richard, but from the tributes posted here, those who did were blessed. Condolences to all who were intimately affected by the horrible 9/11 tragedy. America holds you in our hearts and prayers always.

I am a stranger to this page but bonded with Richard as I also am blessed. This simple response to a question starts so many converastions. From your posts he was a man that knew Him and was pleased to share the good news. God bless him. I look forward to meeting him someday.

RICHARD ALLEN By Michael Cuevas He lived a life as pure as gold, With tongue as witted as it was bold. His hands were meant to heal the weak Though he himself was very meek. Wisely thought and softly spoken, Came his words to help the broken. Humble strength he held inside, Was for the Holy Ghost to abide. Simply righteous before fallen Was the life of Richard Allen. Full of laughter, peace and joy, Wisdom shared with girl and boy. Faithful to all with great love, But none greater than to the One above. He smiled unceasing, through great storms, And his ministry took all forms. Filled with guidance and compassion, For the Christ he has his passion. Love lived in him like no other, Proudly did I call him brother. Though you’d never seen an odder pair, We both had joy beyond compare. Then terror struck as I recall, Against such flames I felt so small. A blaze as nothing I’d ever seen, Exploded over city’s scene. As ash and ember snowed down, I scarcely knew what was around. I wandered, wondered, where he was, But didn’t think what terror does. It takes the lives of those we love And delivers them to God above. Silver eagle’s wing and talon Gripped the soul of Richard Allen. Flew him over outer space And laid him in his resting place And there he stood before the King, His God and Lord of everything He fell straightway upon his knees. “Stand up”, said God “For I am pleased. For your pure heart, good of all sorts, I will allow you in my courts, And here is where you’ll always stay To praise My Name all night and day.” And like this he was welcomed in To paradise and cleansed of sin. And where he is until this day, To sing and dance and ever pray, To clap his hands and raise his voice And make a mighty joyful noise For God Almighty, to love and adore, Is where he’ll be forevermore.

Richard was kind, thoughtful and religious. He would always be found reading or reciting parts of the bible. He lived through God in life on this earth and is now with God for his eternal life. He is in my thoughts and prayers each day along with the many other colleagues lost on 9/11/01.

I will never forget, my brother in the LORD, Richard, who loved the LORD with all his heart. Early in the morning, he was at the WTC reading his bible and praising the LORD as he viewed the beauty of HIS creation. He was a good friend who never failed to encourage people and shared his blessings with everyone. He is surely missed but there's a knowing that he's now in the presence of the LORD.

Richard was a God fearing man who was always uplifting. Richard was in charge of the mail on our floor in the WTC. Everyday when I would see him and say hi, how are you he always, always replied 'blessed.' He appreciated everything in his life. I'm sorry that God needed him back so quickly.

Richard would always encourage me with the word of God. Richard and Sean Booker were always together and would book the conference room for prayer. I thank God for all the encouraging words he gave me through Richard. Surely, Richard and Sean are praising God up in heaven!

Richard was in charge of our mail at the 1 WTC site on the 98th Floor. He was always very pleasant and helpful in whatever was asked of him. During lunch time I always remember him reading through his bible and applying his christian ways in his daily life. He will be missed!
